We help learners find the best tutor for, across every subject and every age - you might think of us as the Airbnb of Education.

We have been featured on the BBC, in the Guardian, the Telegraph and TechRadar, whilst also being a finalist in TechNorth's prestigious Northern Stars competition.

All roles will be based at The Workstation, Sheffield (by the train station) - applications must be either based in (or around Sheffield) or willing to move here.

Web Developer

We are seeking an outstanding Web Developer to join our team here in Sheffield.

You will work as an integral member of a small, but growing development, team and have the opportunity to build your role within a growing business. Whilst the majority of development will be backend-focused, we are seeking a full-stack developer who has good front-end abilities.

The ideal candidate will, therefore, have strong knowledge and skills with:

  • Top-class knowledge of PHP, ideally the Laravel framework
  • Superb skills in Backbone, Marionette, or some other front-end framework.
  • A working knowledge of Git, Composer, Sass, and many other aspects of cutting edge web-tech.
  • Experience of database and server administration and performance optimisation.
  • Knowledge of Stripe's processes and its API would also be beneficial

As a startup, candidates must have an appetite for moving fast, getting creative, and working hard. This will not be coding-by-numbers, so be prepared to find business solutions which meet the needs of our users.
