I am a 19 year old female looking to continue piano lessons. I have had on and off lessons now since 11 years old and this time I'd like to make proper progress, particularly in improving my sight reading and general ability to play more difficult pieces. I especially love jazz, and musicals - Matilda the Musical, Wicked, Les Mis, Hamilton, Billy Elliot etc, though I am open to learning all types of music.
I am free all days except Thursdays between 10.30 and 12.30. I have recently moved to this area and currently reside in supported living due to suffering several mental health disorders. One of these disorders is severe depression and this makes using public transport very difficult. I can become panicked very easily and often become fatigued by the simplest of tasks which includes travelling.
This means that travelling to another location for a lesson may prove to be problematic. To decrease the likelihood of being unable to attend a lesson, I am looking for someone who can travel to me. I have an electric piano: a Casio Privia PX-120. I am looking for a patient and friendly teacher to help me continue learning piano. I don't have much confidence in myself or my skills, therefore often need encouragement and reassurance, but despite this I am very determined and I don't give up easily.
I live in Wideopen so it's not too far. Just let me know your thoughts and whether you'd be willing to help me give piano another go.
